Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the House of Glory Global mobile application (“the App”) and its backend service collect, use, store, and protect personal information. The App is an invitation-only tool used by leaders and members of House of Glory Global to manage church operations including attendance, member directories, weekly reports, and finance tracking.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account information

• Name, email address, role within the church, and assigned branch — provided when an administrator invites you to the App.
• Authentication session tokens stored on your device.

2.2 Ministry data you enter

• Member records: names, contact details, branch assignment, and notes recorded by authorized leaders.
• Attendance records for services and events.
• Weekly reports, including summaries submitted by branch leaders.
• Finance entries (offerings, expenses) recorded by authorized roles.

2.3 Device contacts (optional)

With your explicit permission, the App can read contacts from your device so you can import them as member records. Contacts are read only when you initiate an import. The App does not upload your entire address book in the background and does not share contacts with third parties for advertising.

2.4 Technical data

• API request logs (timestamp, endpoint, status code) used for diagnostics and abuse prevention.
• Approximate IP address recorded with each request for rate-limiting and security monitoring.

The App does not use third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking pixels.

3. How we use information

• To authenticate users with email and password and keep you signed in.
• To deliver the ministry features you and your leadership use: attendance, members, reports, finance.
• To send transactional emails such as invitations and weekly report notifications.
• To secure the service (rate limiting, abuse detection, audit logging).
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

4. How information is stored and shared

Application data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Render (United States). Transactional email is delivered via Google’s Gmail SMTP service. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We do not share your information with any other third parties except as required by law.

5. Data retention

• Account records are kept while your account is active.
• Ministry records (members, attendance, reports, finance) are retained for as long as the church needs them for record-keeping.
• Request logs are retained for a limited operational window for diagnostics.

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing the address in section 1.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Withdraw permissions you previously granted (e.g. contacts access) at any time from your device settings.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, contact us so we can remove it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices including TLS in transit, password hashing, short-lived session tokens, and role-based access controls. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and contact us immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.
